The Good News is I don't have strep throat!
The bad news is I feel like shit run over twice before it was struck by lightning...

OK so it's been a long time since I've updated. Right at this minute it's about 10:50pm and I've gotten out of bed to come and use the computers. At 11:10pm when my time runs out, I'm gonig back to bed. I've been in bed all day. Luckily, a nurse thrust a swab down my throat and we discovered that I am strep free. Thank God. I have a very slight fever, a helluva sore throat and a bad headache, not to mention I feel tired all the damn time. But the flu is goin' round so I guess that's what you get when you live in close quarters with 16 other people.
I took the Miriam girls to a softball comp yesterday. We lost the first game. 24 - 0. Scary. The second game was much better. 11 - 0. Whoo! We actually made three outs in one innings so that was something to celebrate. heh. Golan have a game this Friday, and then Esther next Wednesday. Wheet. Hopefully we'll hit up Maccas or Dairy Queen or Dunkin' Donuts on the way back from one of those games.
I've switched my day off to Saturday this week (due to the softball game Friday) and me, Melissa & J and anyone else that wants to split a cab fare are going to Middletown to see Harry Potter 5. It didn't show at the theatre at Milford. Some stupid animation bout a rat was showing, and now The Simpsons movie is there. Anyways, my last day off was freakin' awesome. We got some beers, and some Midori and some vodka and drank it all at the jokingly titled Milford Beach. It's the Delaware river. We then got more beers and drank them while playing Kings (or as the kiwis call it "Circle of Death.") I also broke a bike while mountain bike riding. I dunno wtf happened but it don't go no more. hehe.
Ummm, what else has been happening? Oh, it's now officially second session. There's something like 17 days of camp left. Moved into a new bunk, got new kids. Most of them are just as awesome as the first sessioners, but a few seem to have sticky fingers & I've lost $60, and Zeb has lost $40 to the sneaky little shits. We also confiscated a portable dvd player this evening as well as a bunch of mobile phones. Yes, I'm still saying mobile phones. And jumpers instead of sweatshirts. And thongs instead of flip flops. I've all but run out of vegemite, which is traumatic. But I have, unfoteunately, become addicted to peanut butter & jelly sandwhiches. But only the grape jelly. Not the strawberry. That made me wanna puke.
What else what else....
Camp is just camp at the moment. I'm working 15 hour days, 6 days a week for what we worked out to be $1.65/hr. Oh yeah. The joys of summer camp. I nearly had a meltdown yelling at Centre Sleepaway kids the other day. Centre Sleepaway is a part of our camp but it's for kids that only come Mon - Fri and then go home over the weekend. They are the rudest, most disrespectful kids I have ever met. And after umpiring softball for them I now refuse to work with them.
But anyways, I'm running out of time. I'll try and update lots more before the end of camp coz after that I dunno when I will be able to again.
Carmen, expect something in the post soon. Just for you. You'll love it, I promise.
Steve....if you're gonig to send me e-mails like that.....don't. :-P Made me giggle my arse off, though.
Love you all heaps, hopefully everything is going well at home and you all miss me horribly.
